Julienne van Loon grew up in country New South Wales and now lives in the Perth Hills. She is a senior lecturer in Creative Writing at Curtin University. Julienne is the author of Road Story, whichwon the Australian Vogel Award, and was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers Prize Best First Book (Asia and Pacific) and for the WA Premier’s Book Awards for Fiction. She is the author of Beneath the Bloodwood Tree and the newly released Harmless. Her shorter works have appeared in The Monthly and Griffith Review.
