Chris Womersley

Chris Womersley  is the author of The Low Road,which won the Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction. His second novel, Bereft, won the Australian Book Industry Award for Literary Fiction and the Indie Award for Fiction. Internationally it was shortlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger Award 2012. One of his short-stories, ‘A Lovely and Terrible Thing’ was shortlisted for the BBC International Short Story Prize. His new novel is Cairo. Chris lives in Melbourne.
