Emily K. Smith has followed her passion for storytelling and art throughout her life. At 17 she moved to Perth for university and discovered the graphic novel. Emily’s talent for drawing is largely self-taught and has been achieved by interacting with other artists over the internet, and inspired by the methods used by her landscape-artist father. At 20 Emily secured her first illustration job with the Gestalt Publishing. Passionate about graphic novels as an art form, Smith has lectured at Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School on theory and the interpretation of sequential storytelling.
