John McGlynn

John H. McGlynn was born in the US and now lives in Jakarta. He is the world’s foremost translator of Indonesian literature, with several dozen publications to his name. In 1987 John co-founded the Lontar Foundation, ushering  into print over 100 books on Indonesian language, literature and culture. He has also produced 24 documentary films on Indonesian writers and 30 films on Indonesian performance traditions.
