Wire always seem to be ahead of their  time, no matter what time they choose  to exist in. PITCHFORK

Artful post-punk pioneers Wire rose to prominence in 1970s Britain and nearly 40 years on their sounds are still incredibly intense. Constantly expanding the sonic boundaries of the genre with their wildly original experimentation and expansive sound Wire unleashes the perfect juxtaposition of sweet sentiment with razor sharp musicality. Seemingly holding the key to eternal youth, art-punk's prolific forefathers are as fiercely magnetic today as they ever were.

It’s the bass that really brings this one home. Taking me back to Trans Am’s Futureworld. Damn fine stuff, it’s no wonder you’re ruling the Perth roost. GEMMA PIKE, TRIPLE J on the new single ‘Motorolla Borealis’

Usurper of Modern Medicine are an epic experiment in electronic soundscapes, with a heavy acoustic rhythm accompaniment. Formed in 2010 and born as a studio project, the Perth band quickly evolved into a live unit and began captivating audiences with expansive sounds and synchronised visuals that deliver intense, cathartic sonic experiences. Their debut record is due for release later this year, and promises to be a dynamic aural assault on the senses.
