The Panics

Sat 8 Feb 2014

With the cityscape on one side and sweeping bushland to the other, it would be hard to shake the impact of such a backdrop in one’s formative years, and there’s a core part of that identity that remains with them through four albums. MESS AND NOISE

Home town heroes, The Panics, will bring their enigmatic charm to the Chevron Festival Gardens live on Saturday 8 February. In their albums and EPs, some discover the cinematic score to their own lost Australian summers, but underneath the elegant pop-rock tracks are modern hymns for a generation; anthems of rash joy and quiet heartbreak.

As the winners of an ARIA for Best Adult Contemporary Album in 2007 for Cruel Guards, The Panics have performed with the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra and had their tracks featured on TV series’ Ugly Betty and Underbelly, while still enjoying high rotation on national and local radio.

In Perth to perform their Perth Festival co-commissioned soundtrack to Girt By Sea at the sold out event, COAST, we are delighted to invite The Panics to perform live in Perth’s own Chevron Festival Gardens.
